Good Morning and Happy October 1st!! I have missed being here sharing with you!! So grateful to be back here with you!! I hope you are having a Blessed week. I'm Loving the beginning days of Autumn!! How about you?! Are you getting a little taste of it where you are? So, over on Shoestring's Facebook page, I asked you all if you remembered last years Autumn Wreath...
The Reason being, that I wanted to share with you all that I, personally, cannot afford to make a new Wreath for every occasion. (In a dream world maybe, with oodles of storage space and an unlimited budget) But not today, not in my home. Which is absolutely fine, because I am aware of how abundantly I am Blessed!!
That being said I took last years wreath and changed it up to make a new one for this year!!
This is how it looked last year!!
I must admit I have a special place in my heart for last years wreath, but actually, they all are wonderful memories for the time that they hung.
I removed the sign and the bow, and began to add some of the colors I had been enjoying this (By the way, most I accumulated from the dollar store, goodwill and one beautiful bunch from Michael's (at half price, of course)
The total cost of the update was approximately 6-8 dollars!! Who doesn't LOVE that price tag for a "New" Autumn Wreath?!! Don't you just Love how it turned out!! I am beyond Happy about this fun little wreath!!
Just a little closer look!! I am feeling Blessed! I hope you are too! Let me know what you think. Do you like this year's or last year's better? No worries folks, you can't offend me, I made them both and love them equally, but I always enjoy hearing your opinion.
Many Blessings for a glorious week!

It's gorgeous !!!
ReplyDeleteAnd I think it makes perfect sense to reuse last years even if you had money to throw away - what would happen to last years if you didn't change it up?
Beautiful job!
Hugs,
Suzan

I re-use and re-purpose my door-wreath, too! My one for fall I've managed to keep intact, although it's looking a little bedraggled after using for the 4th year now, I just love it so much I can't bear to pull it apart. I have another grapevine wreath, though, that has gone through seasonal transformations over and over again.
ReplyDeleteCharlene, do you update it or just re-use it the same way?
DeleteBeautiful wreath! You did a lovely job!
