Hi friends, I'm so sorry about last week. I never did get back to the party. I apologize, but, like I said, sometimes, life just takes over. Being a nurse and someone who's already living with pain, you write a lot of things off about your body, until you just can't anymore. :(

Pam from Everyday Living's Top Monday Morning Blooms just makes me smile!
So... Long story, short, as they say, lower abdominal pain turned out to be diverticulitis, with a bladder and kidney infection thrown in to be sure and get my full attention!! I'm going to have to pay a little more attention to my body. It's just part of the good and bad of having a high threshold for pain! Oh well, double antibiotics now and should be as good as new... I was before :D
With that, all said and done, welcome to this week's Thursday Favorite Things party! Let's see what you have been up to! (by the way, my features this week are from the last two parties, as seemed appropriate)

Joy from Artful Homemaking shared her Grandmother’s Favorite Dishcloth Knitting Pattern, which I adore. I have many of these wonderful dishcloths around my house. It appears your Grandmother and my Aunt went to the same school! If you have not had the pleasure of using hand-knitted dishcloths, you really need to check out Joy's post!
Kristi from French Creek Farmhouse's How To (Safely) Hang Heavy Stuff On A Wall was a great read and super informational, and just beautiful, isn't it?!
Dear Linda! I just loved reading Linda from It All Started With Paint's post
Better Late Than Never, Right? And, all I can say, after living 3 (going on 4) years of similar life circumstance, is "Yes!", Linda, definitely Better Late Than Never! I loved your ability to add humor to your post and your situation, as well as your beautiful Christmas decorations, even if you weren't there to enjoy them. I feel your pain.
I just took down my Christmas wreath today, yes, today! That wasn't the point, though...I was trying to decide what to put in its place, given we are still quite away from Spring and I am so enjoying the off and on rainy days we are finally getting here, in Northern California, then low and behold I stumbled across our wonderful Paula from Virginia Sweet Pea's Pine Cone Door Decoration. It's just perfect! I would be quite proud to have this hanging on my door now. No offense Paula, but I might have to copy you on this one!

You all share such wonderful recipes and I read a lot of them, I feel kind of mean not featuring a ton more, but honestly, ladies, it is a matter of time. I truly wish I could share more! But for this week, the one that I am just going to have to make for myself is this Vidalia Onion Pie that Linda from Poinsettia Drive shared! Yum and yes, please! I still wish I had time and energy to share more of your wonderful posts, but I'm afraid that's it for me this week, friends!
Wonderful weekend wishes to you all.

ReplyDeleteThank you, Julie. And, LoL, I don’t know if you knew or not. 😊

ReplyDeleteMe, too, Katherine! That was no fun! Thanks for the visit, my friend. 💕
DeleteOh no! I had diverticulitis once but went to the ER right away because of where it was. It was right about where the appendix is and I seriously thought I had appendicitis. Was relieved to find out that I wasn't being rushed in for emergency surgery that day! Hope you feel better quickly.
ReplyDeleteI am at 204 and 205 this week, both ham soups as I have been in a soup kind of mood lately!
Dawn, I wish I knew my pain better. I apparently had a burst appendix and never knew until a much later surgery for something else. Double edged sword of having a high tolerance for pain. Thank you for your well wishes and sharing your yummy recipes! xo
DeleteThank you for hosting the party. Our links this week are: #216, #217, & 218.
ReplyDeleteThat's quite a collection of illnesses, Theresa! So sorry to hear about this season of struggle and glad you are being treated and are on the mend. Thanks so much for hosting! I'm participating today with #222, 223, 224, as I share hearts, health, and hello? Handsome homes (of course!). Hope this finds you enjoying your weekend and finding blessing in unexpected places. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Michele. Always so excited to see what you’re sharing. Peace to you dear lady.
